In some apartments there is an isolating switch for your refrigerator, labelled ‘fridge isolator’ which looks like a light switch and can be found within the cabinet that houses the Distribution Board .
The distribution board is usually located in the cupboard as you enter the unit.
If this switch is accidentally switched off, there will be no power to the fridge power point.
The Fridge Isolating switch is only installed for the units on G1 levels of Building C and D and level 1 or 2 of Building B
there is an isolating switch for the hotplate on one of the powerpoints near the hotplate
